Remove Tubular Door Lock

Now that the tubular lock pick is calibrated you can pick the lock.

Remove tubular door lock.

The best tubular deadbolt has a 1 inch thick stainless steel deadbolt for added security and corrosion resistance. This is showing how you can get your lock apart when you don t see any screws. Insert the pick into the lock slowly allowing the picking needles to map to the corresponding pin stacks. Your new lock may or may not fit in the hole left by removing the old lock.

Once the lock is picked remove the tubular lock pick and tighten the collar. Slowly apply left to right turning torque to the pick and the lock should pop open. Remove the ink tube from inside the pen as you will be using the ballpoint pen s exterior to jimmy open the lock. That part is removed by pulling it out from the edge of the door where you removed the latch plate.

To do this place the pick into the lock making sure to evenly apply pressure straight down. You don t need to remove that unless you are changing out your entire door lock.

This was a keyed door lever lock but i mention how to do the same with the sta. Remove both halves of the lock assembly from the exterior and interior of the door.
