Continue to tap it up gradually increasing the force until the pin is finally lodged upwards. You can then remove the hex wrench and allow the spring to naturally unwind. Rotate the locking pin to remove and replace the pin one hole further away from the door. Using a hex wrench open the spring so you can see the tension pin.
