When you have replaced the bottom 4 rollers you ll realize that you won t be able to replace the top one because it won t line up with the opening in the track.
Remove garage roller door.
As you pop the roller out of the track the garage door will drop.
Continue this procedure until there is no tension at all left in the spring.
Pick up 2 of them from the home improvement store.

How to take apart a garage door release the tension from garage door springs and remove garage door tracks.
Locking pliers are small handheld vice grips.
Slide a new roller in and insert the roller back into the track.
Remove the bolts only on the top half of each hinge leaving the bottom halves attached to the lower door panel.
Carefully tilt the panel back and lift it away from the tracks and the rest of the door.
Slide the end of a flathead screwdriver underneath the top roller and pry it out from the track.
You ll need to deal with the lifting mechanisms before you can remove the door 1 x research sourcestep 2 use locking pliers to lock the door in place.
Replacing the bottom roller on a garage door can be extremely dangerous when done incorrectly.
Use the 3 8 inch wrench to remove these.
Never loosen the bolts that secure the bottom fixture to the garage door or remove the cable from the bottom fixture.
Take out the bottom one only when the top one is well inserted and held firmly in your hand.
Release the cables and then take off the clamps or locking pliers.
After removing the nuts use a hammer to knock out the bolts.
Support the garage door above you with your non dominant hand.
Use their jaws to secure the bottom of the door to the roller track then try to move the door.
Repeat the same steps on the second spring if need be.
Climb a ladder so you can easily access the top roller while your garage door is open.
With a helper or two supporting the top of the top panel remove the roller bracket at each end of the panel.
How to replace garage door rollers.
For the wooden garage door use the 7 16 inch wrench to remove the nuts that are used to hold the through bolts on the roller hinge.
In case your garage door is made of steel then the hinges would be secured with hex headed screws.
When it won t move at all you ll know it s in place 2 x research.
