Re Engage Garage Door

In a minute or two you can safely re engage your automatic garage door and continue enjoying reliable trusty operation. Grasp the handle on the inside of the door and slowly pull it up. If there is a manual lock you will need to disengage it before you open the door. Once the power comes back on you must re engage the garage door opener to the door.

The carriage which connects to the door arm locks around the opener trolley during normal operation. Re engaging the garage door to the electric garage door unit. When the trolley meets with the carriage they will connect and re engage. If you lose power the garage door opener s quick release mechanism allows you to operate the door manually.

Make sure the carriage unit is nearest to the garage door. Operate your garage door opener. Pull the release rope and push the door all the way up until you hear a click. To engage it remotely press the button on your remote control so that the door will move back into place.

You ll know the trolley is re engaged when the door goes up and down on its own. The carriage is the part of the opener to which the door arm connects. You can do this either by clicking your remote or by pressing the button on the opener in your garage. Garage door openers have a quick release mechanism that allows you to operate the garage door manually in the event you lose power.
